Moses is a delight to work with he, makes it all very effortless. Over the years I've worked with some of the best engineers and producers in the world, Moses will be added to that list.
Great sense of humour too, which is very important when your working on creative ideas.

Moses is very calm, open minded to all kinds of music and production styles (even extreme metal!)
Amazing engineer (perhaps one of the best out there), good listener and someone you can count on. Check him out!

I am a DJ/producer and have worked with Moses on some production and mixes for my sets. He was incredibly knowledgeable and hard working and helped me create some great beats! His own productions are also excellent and I have played some of these out to great acclaim! Would strongly recommend him to work with!

Moses was very professional and patient. He understood the sound I was going for on my track and executed it exactly as I would have done if I had his skills. Would recommend his work highly!

Interview with Moses van den Bogaerde

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I've been doing this for 17years. I was a recording artist, then an engineer in analog studios (Resident, SARM, Sensible), then a producer and finally a Mixing Engineer.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: I love both; analog for character and digital for versatility and speed.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: An advert for the NHS, and Album for John Illsley (Dire Straits) and two singles for a new electronic duo.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: Mixing vocals and Drums.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: My studio is beautifully treated with some of the most neutral near-field monitors you will find anywhere. For listening to low end I have a full range system with a tight 8" sub by Presonus and coaxial monitors which make for great separation and three dimensional imaging. This means I can accurately work on frequencies down to and below 20hz. For mastering I like to use a professionally calibrated Revox B77 with either new 1/4" 911 or vintage 456 Grandmaster tapes (if I can get them!). I use the latest Universal audio converters and work almost exclusively at 96Khz.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: Silvia Massey, Spike Stent, Bjork, Rick Rubin, Billie Eilish... Bowie.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: Mixing for recording artists. Composing for advertising agencies.
