Professional singer-songwriter with over 20 songs out on all major platforms - specializing in R&B/Pop, but also cinematic dark pop. I've worked with grammy award winning score-writers and producers and also multiple licensing companies - so I know what works in the sync world! Over 1 million Spotify streams and 40k+ shazaams around the globe.
My goal is to complete YOUR vision. It will be very collaborative and I’ll make sure you’re happy with the finished product. Look up ‘Faith Richards’ on your preferred platform to reference my vocals and songwriting style.
How It Works:
- Send me a message and we'll get this project ready to pitch or release!
- After it's funded, I will book a date in the studio to get started on your project.
- You will send me all the details of your track (BPM, Key, Lyrics, etc)
- I'll send a WAV of my vocals with the track instrumental
- Once approved, I’ll send over vocal stems!
You will keep the full rights + master (unless you'd like me to list them with my licensing companies) but I ask for a writers share on top of work for hire rate (which we can discuss).
I can provide adlibs, BG VOX, harmonies and doubles as an additional service upon request.
I do not vocal produce. The vocals will be professionally recorded and put through my regular vocal strip settings and bounced through Logic Pro X.
My turn around is 1-3 days and I’ll deliver within 7 business days. But please message beforehand if you have a specific deadline and I’ll make sure to meet it.

Faith is so great at what she does, has a beautiful voice, and great toplines! I briefed her on what I was looking for, ideas, and references and she was able to put those feelings into a wonderful topline. As a person, she's super sweet and responsive as well. Highly recommend!
Interview with Faith Richards
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: An EP that drops in April! Can't wait!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That they'll love the final project! It's a collab... I want you to love it as much as I do :)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Getting paid to sing... feels like a dream!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That you make a lot of money! Haha... It takes years to even make a couple hundred a month from music. But when you love what you do, you don't need the reward right away :)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What/who inspired the track? Any vocal preferences?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: laptop, akai MPK49, Rode USB Mic, headphones & edibles haha
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been professionally working in the music industry for 3 years. I originally moved out to Los Angeles for acting, but found that music brought me waaaay more joy!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Dark indie yet soulful sound
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: 6lack or Brent Faiyaz! I've been dying to sing a hook on one of their tracks... I love alternative R&B! I'd also LOVE to write with Jessie Reyez or Sabrina Claudio. I love their unique style and vulnerability
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Be authentic. Don't try to copy another singer or style, because it'll always feel pushed and fake. I'm constantly inspired by musicians, but there's a big difference between being inspired and copying.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Indie/Dark Pop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Songwriting and my vocals. I've always loved writing and recording. I come from a musical family and was always encouraged to share my talents with the world - so I'm very confident in my ability to write and perform in a way that touches people in a new way.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: SOUL, VULNERABILITY, RELATABILITY, UNIQUE RAW VOCALS. I love creating music and I am always honest and transparent in my songwriting and delivery. It feels like therapy to me - so it's a major bonus that it's my job too ;)
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When creating my own music, I usually start to write piano and lyrics together then work on strengthening melodies. Once the production and topline is ready and I've listened to it for a couple of days, I'll add harmonies and bg VOX. When creating for someone else's track, I usually listen to the track once all the way through to get a general idea of the vibe/mood and genre. Then on the second listen, I'll record my first ideas on my phone - just to see what lyrics and melodies come to me off the bat. If I have solid ideas, I'll fine tune them and build off of that. Once I have a pretty solid idea, I'll start to record through Logic Pro X and I tend to change a lot of the melodies after hearing it professionally recorded. I'll add bg vocals and adlibs after I'm happy with the lead VOX.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Logic Pro X, Akai MPK49, Rode and Shure mic options
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: BANKS (Dark R&B pop), Sabrina Claudio (Slow Jam R&B), Lana Del Rey (Indie Pop Songwriting), Jessie Reyez (R&B Pop Songwriting), Alina Baraz (Feel Good R&B Pop), Billie Eilish (Dark Pop)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Revise lyrics and/or melodies, write original lyrics and melodies, record vocals for demo purposes, record vocals for commercial use
