Interview with McKenzie Loskill
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like the fact that I can work with several different people, and make beautiful music is a really big plus.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Most people think that because I'm so young, I'm inexperienced. But really, I've been making music my entire life, and it comes naturally to me. I understand things easily that may take others some time to wrap their heads around.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Conan Gray. He has really been my ultimate idol, and I really hope to be lucky enough to work with him someday.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One piece of advice I would share is to record everything, no matter how small or silly it may seem. You never know when a little melody in your head could turn into a #1 hit. Also, be open to any new ideas. Don't shut others out, and really listen to what they are saying. It could be really good.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Soft pop/indie pop
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have been heavily influenced by artists like Conan Gray, Billie Eilish, and Lorde, who make more soft pop/indie pop music.
