Hi, My name is Shamette. I am a Full Sail Alumni, I received my bachelors in 2019. I am a recording/mixing engineer from High Frequency Studio in Milwaukee. I have experience in live sound for corporate events, dialog editing for podcasts and film. I am also fluent in Spanish, therefore, I do also work on Spanish projects if needed.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I am proud of all my projects. Everyone works so hard to create art that no matter if the project never see's the day of light we all should be proud of the work we have put in.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: An album with a up and coming artist called Incredulo.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog, it has a sound digital can never replicate. But digital is the new wave for quicker work flow and affordable for artists

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: You will be content with the work i provide.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Flexible schedule and every job being different.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: If i went to school to learn engineering... Yes i did, I have my bachelors in recording arts

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That i make beats... No.. i do not make beats.. sorry.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What are your expectations for the projects. Whats the vision for the project. How soon the project needs to be completed.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Do not be shy to approach and discuss future business/projects

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Laptop, headphones, interface and mic

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: My career path is Engineering, I have been engineering for almost 5 years.

  26. A: Creative

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Kehlani along with Oak felder as the producer. Its been said Kehlani is a genius with her song writing, being able to catch her vocals raw and mix it with the guide of Oak Felder who is a genius producer and engineer would be amazing and a great learning experience.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Find a reference track.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Hiphop and Spanish trap

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Making clients feel comfortable.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring an open mind.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: For recording, i tend to create a template for each client for a quicker work flow on further projects. For mixing and editing, i tend to work on vocals first then instruments and sounds.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: Mostly in the box along with Apollo x4 , Manley Voxbox channel strip with Manley Reference Cardioid Large-diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone, Sennheiser HD 300 pro headphones.

  42. A: Kesha lee, Marcella lago, Alex Tumay, Derek ali, Oak Felder and many more..

  44. A: Record, Mix and Edit audio on Pro tools
