Interview with Tanya Louise
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I just recently stated deep in you in lovely day they are the two songs that I had on you and M and I lived in Italy toward Italy and was fortunate to really be able to live my music and I'm happy about that.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on a project with Daniel tone.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No I'm just getting here so so far I think everybody's great hi everybody.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I love them both I don't choose like I said this is the day that we live in right now you have them both so use them both I do love when I'm performing I do prefer to perform more with the band when I'm recording I like digital more. But I also do perform with just a track.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to do the best work that I can and a good amount of time and I would like to build a work relationship with people.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I'm a very creative person and I love to be creative so I'm happy to be able to be creative and be paid to do that that's a great thing.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most commonly people tend to ask about my earliest songs deep in you and lovely day I am writing and I still continue to write so I am more than deep in you and every day though I'm happy that people still love it.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I don't like people who are constantly on the starship I don't do what I do to be a star I do what I do because I love to do it and I'm happy that I have some success in accolades but I really just enjoy doing the music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I would like to know if they themselves are touring how do they plan on promoting their sound.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I work with people as far as music is concerned I work with people as far as the money is concerned you don't have to have a huge budget I just like people who enjoy what they do and give me great songs to work with.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Well honestly it's a desert island so what would I need all that for if I'm going to be by myself but of course I would take a microphone I would say a laptop but not going to have Wi-Fi so I guess we'd have to Go acoustic with me you have to do a microphone have to take a drum but you going to plug it too I mean I don't know just question is a little like I don't know.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path was to just keep doing what I'm doing and that's making music and get back tutoring again I played with a band and I also work with track x so I can do either one.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is a combination of every type of music that I like and I love music I have been working with music and around music since I was a child so I've been inspired from everything from jazz to funk hip Hop my style is a little bit of everything.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: David Guetta I would love to work with him he contacted me before he got really popular and told me he was a fan so I'd love to work with David Guetta.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: You have to enjoy what you do and you can't think about ego or money you just think about putting out the best song that you can put out.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love hip hop and r&b but house music speaks to me a lot quicker I can write songs I have r&b and hip house songs but I love to dance and I love the rhythm of house it speaks to me in a sense it helps me to flow easier.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I love to sing live but I also love to write I've been writing poetry since I was 9 years old so I'm very good with writing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: When I bring to the songs is a singer-songwriter who has been having hits since the late 90s early 2000s so I already have a fan base and a network that I work with.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Send me the music if I feel it I say yes I can do it it usually doesn't take me very long to write a good song I have plenty out there.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a PC I also have a MacBook I have a microphone and headphones so yes I am capable of recording clean vocals I also have a studio that I use when I want to really layer the vocals.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I've been recording house music for quite some time so I'm going to say all of the forefathers of house music I love r&b I love funk there are so many artists who I love in the industry it's hard to name just one. My biggest inspiration is Josephine Baker.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Good day I'm a singer-songwriter so I sing and I song right as well so basically I can work as a collaborator or I can just sing someone song or I can write a song and sing it.
