Endorse Harvey CoatesI have worked with Harvey on a multitude of projects including 2 singles, and am currently working with him on my upcoming EP.
He is one of the most talented producers I have encountered (and I have worked alongside respected industry professionals in the past). His work is of excellent quality and each work boasts a distinctive and attractive sound.
Harvey is a perfectionist, every piece he releases is meticulously scoured to the minutest detail and this is evident in the product.
He is a pleasure to work with; friendly and professional.
I recommend him wholeheartedly!
Harvey is an incredibly talented Producer/Songwriter/Engineer.
I've worked with him on countless occasions and never been disappointed! He really excels when it comes to modern RnB I would say, but his work in general never ceases to inspire me as a topline writer!
Interview with Harvey Coates
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on 'Used To' by J Rozzi. I wrote the music and produced the entire song, and to this day I am extremely proud of how it turned out, from a half-baked idea we came up with after a lecture into what it is now; it is an excellent indicator of what a song produced by Harvey Coates may sound like.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's 'easy'.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: It is always good to criticise your own work, and I am ever-critical of my own.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Personality and flair.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Simple yet very effective. There is nothing I cannot do in my studio. Except for maybe record a live orchestra but I'm sure they could all squeeze in!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Sigala, SG Lewis, Bizness Boi, Mark Ronson, Tom Misch, The Mouse Outfit
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Production/Beat-making
