  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I work in a musical project called "Saldaña" in which we have been working for about a year on an EP of 6 songs, it is something that makes me very excited about the fact that I could mix several genres that I like and the artist was quite happy with the result. I participated in the production, the composition of the lyrics and the general mix of all the songs.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I work as a producer in an independent label.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Refugee, an amazing producer with a professional sound.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I'm going for hybrid, I like the portability of digital but definitely the analog gear has a pretty unique sound.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: You will have a product that you will love that will sound like your favorite artist.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Knowing that the person is happy with the result, I don't stop at having that result.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: They don't ask a lot of questions, they really only ask about the price because they love the quality I work with.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: None

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What song or artist references do you have for this project?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Sound selection, for me, apart from talking about the creative part, knowing how to select or know how to manage a correct sound is what enhances a production and that requires so much practice.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Usually because I work with a lot of local artists, the genre I work with the most is Reggaeton/Latin Urban/Pop.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: I consider myself to be quite creative and always try to create something new, different or something that can surprise you. Because of the fact that my influences are very varied.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Whatever is required whether it is help in production, direction, lyric composition, mixing or mastering services.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I usually start with a couple of chords and sometimes I start writing about that, but sometimes I want to have the instrumental a little bit more complete and add different synths, guitars, pianos, etc. From there I proceed by completing with lyrics and structuring the song. Then I proceed with a pre-mix so that I can present the track to someone if necessary. We proceed with the Mixing and then the Mastering.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I have ADAM T5V speakers, an Apollo Twin interface, AKG702 headphones for mixing and mastering, an ASUS computer. For instruments I have 5 different guitars, Telecaster, Stratocaster, Les Paul, Acustic & Electro Acustic guitars. A Fender bass and Yamaha keyboards.
