I love helping artists get the sound out of their head--to capture that magic spark on tape--to not just have the track sound incredible, but to enjoy the process and to help artists learn and grow, so the next songs are even better.

I believe that music has the power to uplift and unite--and the ripple effect it makes--can create positive shifts in culture. Since building my recording studio in 2006, I have written and produced my own music, releasing it on vinyl, and understand the highs and lows of being an artist. That is why I love working with other artists, to help them record, mix, and master their music--so they can feel that sense of release, hearing the sound in their head coming out of the speakers. And knowing that they did their very best to achieve it. I do this through making sure that the creation process has all good vibes. We create music for the love of it--and I believe that joy transfers into the recording. I also give lessons on recording--so I integrate tricks, tips, and concepts into the process to help artists not just sound great on the music we are working on--but all the music to come.

As a recording artist, I love being challenged to create music in new and different styles. I have created backing tracks for singers, added instruments like guitar and strings into recordings to enhance the sound, and composed music for prominent nonprofits like Surfrider, to support their campaigns. I believe this varied experience gives me a fresh perspective on what is possible on a track--and to tap into that open creative space, to inspire and share what we love.
