Steve (Knight) has produced several commercial pop tracks for me with a level of professionalism and communication beyond what you’d expect from this site. Would highly recommend getting him on board to put his magic touch on your work!

I've worked with Steve for over a year and he'll always be the person who comes to mind if I'm ever struggling with lyrics. I don't know anyone else who's lyricism is so strong and who can write so many in one session. Steve has helped me write some of the most vulnerable songs of my career and not once did I feel rushed, instead he creates a really safe, honest and open space to work in.
Steve's so well rounded and such a great guy as an added bonus, he brings a wicked energy to any session, an absolute pleasure to work with.

I have worked with Steve for over a year and a half now & we've written some of my favourite songs together. He has a great attention to detail and as a writing partner isn't lazy and always goes for what's best not what's easiest. One of my favourite people to write with and it's clear that he really loves music and it's not just a job which is important for me when someone is working on my music :)

Great Producer and Songwriter - Steve is very easy to work with from a session musician's perspective and doesn't waste time in the session. He's a great musician and that really comes out in the sessions as he fluently integrates song-writing and producing. All while being a really nice guy!

I've had the absolute pleasure of mixing some of Steve's solo project.
From both a musical and production stand point he's top quality. He has a wonderful sense of melody and what's right for a song, the way it feels and grooves.

He also happens to be a decent, honest and friendly guy which helps!
I can imagine writing with him would be a joy for anyone.

Steve is such a talent, love working with him.

We first worked together writing songs for other artists but as soon as we did our first session together I knew I had to have him on my artist project. His ear for toplines is unique and really sticks in your mind. He's also a great producer and really versatile with styles and he keeps working until the song really pops. Such a lovely guy too.

I’ve worked with Steve for just over a year now, first working in a songwriting session for Nia Ekanem. He’s one of the most reliable musicians I’ve worked with- consistently on time, never cancels and always provides location to record.

Steve adapts his production to suit the artist effortlessly and being an artist himself, he understands the importance of leaving the artist room to create and express ideas freely before contributing his thoughts.

There’s never any pressure, he provides a super relaxed environment to work with and he’s become a great friend as a result.

Worked with Steve for the last 5 months and have loved it. He’s great with song structure, lyricism, chord progressions and melodies. I’ve come to him with some near finished songs and some ideas for songs and what we create is always top quality. He takes a song idea and adds his experimenters to make it better. Couldn’t recommend him higher.

  4. A: I promise you will be happy with the music we make.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: If they have a reference playlist for how they envision the song.

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: 17 years in London as a songwriter, artist and producer. I've worked my way up through personal connections and great songs.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I am not genre specific but have had a lot of success in the pop world.

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: My interpersonal skills and songwriting followed closely by my producing.

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: Anything that is required

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: I like to get an idea of what the artist is feeling and wanting to write about. Music creation is like therapy and its amazing to put on paper something you wouldn't ever be able to say out loud.

  17. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  18. A: I have A5X monitors running on Logic Pro X with full sample libraries. I also have a Korg Minilogue synth and Acoustic, Electric and Bass guitars. I'm located in Premises Studios in East London.

  26. A: Both, it all sounds lovely if used correctly.

  30. A: That you can't make drum samples sound like a real drummer

  31. Q: How would you describe your style?

  32. A: I try and make the music I work on feel different to everything else that's out there. I guess it's cliche as every artist and producer says that. "If we're all unique aren't we all the same?"

  33. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  34. A: Frank Ocean, I bet his process is a madness to observe

  35. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: I do full productions of songs so I'm experienced in all the steps. From the beat, chords ,theme, vibe, lyrics, topline and harmony arrangement, I am your man.
