Interview with Noctem Audio
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! They can both be used in different ways and to achieve different goals.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We will devote great attention and care to any project, no matter the scale.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The variety of people we meet and the tricks and techniques that we learn along the way.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: We check to see what, if any, deadlines there will be, what file transfer method they want to use, and any other questions that relate to the project in question.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: We often work on electronic and rock/metal, but can provide adequate services for a large variety.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: We strive to offer great communication and friendly, yet professional interaction with our clients. Of course, our knowledge of the world of audio is also what we pride ourselves with.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We have a well treated room with a calibrated and optimally placed 5.1 system consisting of Focal monitors controlled by an SPL Surround Monitor Controller and going through a UAD Apollo Quad. It's a small but well equipped studio mostly used for editing, mixing, and mastering but can record single instruments and vocals/voice overs.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We mostly focus on post production services, but definitely offer recording, mixing, and mastering for music!
