Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I produced many works that I'm proud. It's hard to pick one. I have done many things for Brazilian Tv Chanels. One I did was Theme for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2006 for Band Tv. I also produce an album of Modern Samba for an artist called Janine Mathias that was something very cultura. I just got back from Africa, ( Senegal and Gambia) and its a project that I'm already proud of. Will be dropped soon.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just finished producing an EP of a very famous Brazilian Samba singer (Bruno Diegues) that will be dropped soon, and I'm in the middle of an another production EP for a upcoming artist (Teen) who is also acting for series in Netflix.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: both. Practical of one and warmth and glue and distortion of another.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise giving my best!! and They are always happy with the results.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Working with creativity specially with music is something blessed. We never have a bored day.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you produce a track for me? Yes. I can!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That we are just a fader pushers.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your goals in the project? What is something that you want to say that you never said before ?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be open to the producer, if you are hiring him is because you want him to produce you and to guide you to the best of it.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Interface UAD (with plugins), par of monitor, Mic, and a keyboard controller.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started in a church back in 90's so it's been more than 25 years on music. After a while working in some studios in Brazil I moved to London where I studied Sound Recording and Music Production.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm very eclectic producer, like to produce songs that is electronic but also I like live instruments.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Pharrell Williams, he's been a inspiration to me, not only because of music but beyond that it's because he acts on human rights and art as a powerful tool to change the world.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Yes! A great production starts with a great music. So I say that artist should first focus on having a great song.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Urban Songs. Reggae Music, Rap, Pop,Samba, Brazilian Funk and now I just got back from a trip in Africa and I'm very into AfroBeat.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I think arrangement and getting the best out of an artist are ones of my strongest skill.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring the energy and atmosphere, I bring the vibes the song is asking for.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After understanding what goals my client want to achieve I start listening and exchanging some music. If there is a song that is already written I start from there.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a hybrid studio. Protools, Digidesign C24 console, UAD plugins, Waves Plugins, NS-10 Yamaha, KrK Vx8, RME, LA-610, Neumann mics, SM7b, etc...
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Bob Marley, Rick Rubin, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder, Tom Jobim....
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do Full Production, Mixing and Mastering.
