Hi! I'm Anthony da Costa. I've been a touring singer/songwriter since I was 13 years old. Over the past decade, I've backed up some of the most respected artists in Americana (Sarah Jarosz, Joy Williams of The Civil Wars, Aoife O'Donovan, Yola, Molly Tuttle and more). I have a full production setup at home and would love to be part of your project!

I have over 17 years of experience in the industry, at 30 years old. I have been lucky enough to take part in music from all angles, including being the writer, lead performer, backing vocalist and guitarist, bandleader, producer, session player and more. I believe that my experience as a songwriter and producer has deeply influenced my approach when supporting another artist. I try to stay true to the essence of a song, as intended by the artist. I do my best to tell stories with guitar solos and pads, rather than flex chops. At the end of the day, I aim to create and enhance VIBES. It sounds silly, but it's true! While most of my live work has been in the Americana and roots music genres, I have an extensive background in rock and pop music, and those particular influences have largely informed the music I make under my own name.
Now that the pandemic has hit, and we find ourselves mostly staying put...I have decided to build out a full production setup here at my home, and I am now capable of delivering quality electric guitar/acoustic guitary/keyboard and software instrument/vocal tracks from home!
