Producer & Sound Engineer
Music has always been my passion, I started out as a dj when I was 15 years old, and a few years later I got into the world of production.
I'm a versatile producer, although my main genres are dance music (house, progressive, electro, future ...) and pop music (pop, trap, hip hop).
I consider myself a very creative person and I love sharing my ideas and get authentic results.
If you want to create something really good and do it all around good vibes and enthusiasm, then I assure you we can work as a team and achieve great results! :)

Interview with Marcel Scott
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One of the songs I'm most proud of is "All Mine," a track I created with my friend KATZZ and the English singer ALLKNIGHT. The song was signed to the prestigious label Enhanced, and it has since surpassed half a million streams worldwide. It’s also received support from some of the biggest DJ names in the industry. My role in the project was as the producer/composer, and it was incredibly rewarding to see our collaboration resonate with so many listeners across the globe.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment, I’m working on several projects, including producing an EP for an up-and-coming pop artist and collaborating with a progressive house artist on their debut album. Each project is unique, and I’m excited to see them come to life.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, there are a few talented engineers and vocalists on SoundBetter whom I highly recommend. Their work ethic and quality are outstanding, and they consistently deliver top-notch results.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Nowadays, I work exclusively in digital, and I don’t miss using analog gear. The sonic quality you can achieve with digital tools is on par with, if not better than, analog. Plus, the efficiency and speed of working in digital are unmatched. It allows me to experiment more, make quick adjustments, and deliver high-quality results faster, which is crucial in today’s fast-paced music industry.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to dedicate myself fully to each project, ensuring that the final product exceeds their expectations. I guarantee professionalism, creativity, and a commitment to delivering a polished, high-quality track that aligns with their vision.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I love most about my job is the opportunity to collaborate with talented artists and bring their musical ideas to life. There’s nothing more satisfying than hearing the final mix and knowing that I’ve helped create something that could inspire or move people.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Clients often ask how long it will take to complete a track. My answer is that it depends on the complexity of the project, but I always strive to work efficiently while maintaining high standards. I also emphasize the importance of taking the necessary time to get the best possible result.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: One of the biggest misconceptions is that producing music is just about pushing buttons and applying effects. In reality, it’s a deeply creative process that involves a lot of thought, experimentation, and emotional connection. It’s about bringing an artist’s vision to life and creating something that resonates with listeners.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I usually ask about their musical influences, the message they want to convey with their music, and their goals for the project. I also inquire about their budget and deadlines to ensure we’re on the same page from the start. Understanding their vision and expectations helps me tailor my approach to best serve their needs.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: My advice would be to look for someone who not only has the technical skills but also understands your vision and style. Communication is key, so choose a producer who is open to collaboration and can adapt to your needs. It’s also important to check their previous work to ensure their sound aligns with what you’re looking for.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I’d take a laptop with a reliable DAW, a MIDI controller, a pair of quality headphones, a portable audio interface, and a dynamic microphone. These essentials would allow me to create and record music anywhere, even on a desert island.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started my career as a DJ when I was 15, which sparked my passion for music. Over the years, I became increasingly interested in the creative side of music production. This led me to pursue formal education in the field, and I eventually earned a degree in Music Production Engineering from CEV University. This combination of hands-on experience as a DJ and academic training has shaped me into a well-rounded music producer. I’ve been professionally producing music ever since, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is a fusion of modern production techniques with a deep respect for classic sounds. I like to blend organic instruments with electronic elements, creating tracks that are both innovative and timeless, with an emphasis on dynamic arrangements and emotional depth.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with someone like Illangelo because of his innovative approach to music production and his ability to blend different genres seamlessly. Collaborating with him would be an opportunity to push creative boundaries and learn from one of the best in the industry.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One tip I always share is to focus on the arrangement before diving into the details. A strong arrangement is the foundation of a great track, and it helps to guide the rest of the production process. Also, don’t be afraid to experiment and break the rules—sometimes, the best ideas come from happy accidents.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I primarily work on pop, hip-hop, and electronic music, but I also have experience with indie, R&B, and experimental genres. My versatility allows me to adapt to different styles while bringing a unique perspective to each project.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to connect with the artist's vision and translate it into a cohesive and impactful sound. I excel at creating arrangements that enhance the emotional depth of a song while maintaining commercial appeal. My attention to detail in mixing and mastering also ensures that every element of the track is polished and professional.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and emotional sensitivity to a song. I aim to capture the essence of the artist's message and elevate it through innovative production techniques, ensuring the final product resonates with listeners on a deeper level. My ability to blend genres and push sonic boundaries often adds a fresh, modern twist to the music I produce.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work process usually begins with a deep conversation with the client to understand their vision, influences, and goals for the project. I then create a rough draft or a demo of the track, focusing on the overall vibe and structure. After receiving feedback, I refine the arrangement, add details, and polish the production. The final steps are mixing and mastering, ensuring the track is perfectly balanced and ready for release.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Heritage i73, Maschine, Adam AX5, Audio-Technica ATH-R70x, Neumann TLM 102, i9-12900KF 64GB RAM, GeForce RTX 4080 Super.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Diplo, Illangelo, Avicii
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do for my clients involves producing tracks from scratch, which includes everything from composing, arranging, and mixing and mastering. I also do a lot of co-writing and beat-making, particularly in genres like pop, hip-hop, and electronic music. My goal is always to help my clients translate their vision into a polished, radio-ready track.
