I will professionally mix and master your track for a cleaner, clearer, and better-sounding final product. My goal is to make YOUR music sound AMAZING across all platforms. Your vision, is my vision.
I have been in the industry for 8+ years, producing and mixing records. In this time I have worked professionally with Disney, Netflix, Nat Geo, HBO, BBC, and many many more! I mostly work with electronic and dance music but have an abundance of experience working in other musical genres.
My talents lie in understanding what clients want from their music and making those dreams a reality.
I use a combination of Ableton Live and ProTools when I am producing and mixing. Inside these DAWs I take the best plugins from FabFilter, Waves, and iZotope to produce, mix, and master my client's music to the best standard possible.
Why should you choose me to work on your music?
You should choose me because I care deeply about ensuring the music I work on sounds incredible, not only to my clients but also to their listeners, and future listeners.

Interview with Sam Day
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I have recently produced, mixed, and mastered a 6 track EP for my side project. The EP sounds incredible and I'm really proud of the final outcome! The EP will be released with Aviary Bridge Records.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! I think it is important to understand the value that each element has and how you can use that to your advantage.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most commonly my clients ask me the difference between mixing and mastering. Mixing is combining the different tracks of audio, editing, and adjusting them together so they make one cohesive, great sounding piece of music. Mastering is the finishing touching before your music is heard by your listeners - the final sparkle, or shine!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Drop me a message and let's talk about your vision and goals for your music!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Pop music is my guilty pleasure - I would love to work with Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Charlie Puth, Sia, and Disclosure!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Macbook Pro, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Headphones, and Scarlett 4i4 interface.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on two new lofi EPs for a side project of mine.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I have a colleague named Bruno D who is a fantastic vocalist based in Germany. If you need any kind of vocal work, consider contacting him!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise that your music is in safe hands with me, and you will provide you with an infinitely better track, than what you gave me.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Since I was young I have just loved listening to music. The fact that I get to listen to and work on music all day is what I love most!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: There is a 'one size fits all' solution to every track. There are definitely similarities between the processes that I undertake on each piece of music, but I prefer to approach each song as its own entity.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: My main question is what do they want from me - how can I turn their music into
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began producing my own records in my bedroom at a young age. From there I went to study Sound Design at degree level, which landed me a job in Film and TV post-production. Whilst in this industry, I have been mixing my music for clients and friends.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Reference your mixes against your favourite tracks. Listen to how they sound and make notes. You can then apply those to your own records and instantly hear improvements.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work on EDM records. I do however have a great passion for working on hip-hop and pop music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is listening to my client's vision and making it a reality.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I will bring life, excitement, and detail to your songs, using an abundance of different mixing techniques.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually begin by having a deep conversation with my client to hone in on exactly what they want from their record. This usually involves discussions about reference and inspiration tracks, as well as music trends and changes. From there I can advise and suggest routes that we take together to match and exceed their dream. Once we have decided on a vision for the record, I will go away and make that happen, providing drafts and demos along the way for feedback.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is a bespoke setup, tucked and isolated away inside my house. I keep my setup simple in order to allow for focussed and streamlined work.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My current biggest musical inspirations are Thomas Wesley Pentz (aka Diplo), and Adam Wiles (aka Calvin Harris).
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work I do is mixing and mastering clients' records. Often I have been asked to produce records from scratch which is always the most rewarding.
