What’s up y’all! I’m Danny, go by Billie in my city. I’m a multi-dimensional songwriter, my main influence is pop and r&b ranging from the 70’s to mid-2000s.
I’ve been writing and performing my own originals since 2016 and continue with my current R&B/Rock fusion band, Billie Rose.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Featured as Billie Rose on a song by Andre DeSaint called “Young Lauryn” for his album “Open Up Shoppe”.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working on more songs for the band.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog, carries the essence of the room, the instruments and the people making the song.

A: Efficiency and accuracy, with my best fifth forward 🫡
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Writing lyrics is honestly my favorite thing to do. Im able to express things in a way I wouldn’t normally on my own projects.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Mostly about my style and I tell them it’s primarily pop/soul based but I’m able to adjust to there needs.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I can sound EXACTLY like (insert your favorite tenor here). I give it my best, every time but my voice is my voice.

A: What’s the objective for this song, ep, album, etc.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be specific with what you want, revisions aren’t free.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Mac, usb mic, hard drive, two water bottles
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Since 2016, I’ve been writing, releasing, and performing my original music. I writing in high school but didn’t take it seriously until I started a music promotion platform in 2015. Seeing all the local talent inspired me take my gift to a crafted level.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Suave, calm, calculated. I can also flip it if you need.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would have loved to work for Donna Summer back in the day.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: No, I am not a producer.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly urban genre and I would love to branch out into more scenes.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Storytelling, I enjoy producing journeys for the listener because music, being one of the first tools of storytelling, has such a unique was of meeting us where we’re at and bringing us together.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring personality to a song, turn it into a story that usually leaves the audience wanting more. The challenge of crafting unique melodies is always exciting and enriches my time in the creative process.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to start with a melody if the words don’t come at me first; usually it’s a wave of bars and it’s hard to keep up. Using the beat as a reference, I pinpoint feeling and start my story there. I like to focus on themes on love and relationships, truth, and identity.

A: Mostly vocal work, I can sing, rap, and provide some production elements.
