One Desk on SoundBetter

We're here to turn your ideas into real things. Let's make some hits!

Hi, I'm Caíque! I work with my brother Arthur, in our home studio, here in Brazil. We've been working with audio since 2017, so we're actually new at it, but we've been studying a lot since the beggining of our jorney and we can tell that you'll be impressed with the music we can make, considering the little time we've been working with it!

Most of the things we know, we learnt from people that worked with big guys here in Brazil, so we had the opportunity to learn real important stuff which putted us many steps away from other producers and mixing engeneers around our area.

As artists ourselfs, we had some really frustrating experiences along the way with some expensive producers in the city of São Paulo, and because of that we were close to give up on the dream of making a living with music, and as producers, we won't measure efforts to make the client as happy as he can be with his song, because no one deserves to invest a lot of money on your music to feel frustration in the end of it. So, you can expect patient and helpfull professionals, if you choose to work with us!

Let's make some good music!

Interview with One Desk

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Right now we're working on RnB, Rock, Tango, Bossa Nova and MPB.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Unfortunatly no, we're new around.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: We'll overcome your expectations and make you as satisfied as you can be!

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: Everything! It's amazing to see an idea of a song come to life and turn into something much bigger.

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  10. A: They ask if there is a possibility of their musics sound as good as a big artist's music. The answer is "of corse, just sit and watch".

  11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  12. A: A omnidirectional microphone, a decent audio interface, a pc, headphones and a radio to call for rescue hahaha.

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: We've been doing this professionally, since 2017. We both were always connected to music in many ways. We have a band, and through our band we got to know how it feels to work with audio professionally, and we knew we wanted to work with it for life. That's what we're doing!

  15. Q: How would you describe your style?

  16. A: It's hard to tell, since both of us enjoy really different styles. We can't pick one to say "that's the one".

  17. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  18. A: Ariana Grande! We'd love to watch her creative process. Such a great artist!

  19. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  20. A: Never think you'll be able to fix a recording problem in the mix, always give your best during the recording sessions. It'll make the whole process a lot easier.

  21. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  22. A: What the client asks. We've workend on House, Pop, Rock, Experimental, Bossa Nova, Brazilian Funk, etc. Can't tell there is a genre that overcomes the others.

  23. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  24. A: Understanding what's on the artist's mind, what he acctualy wants.

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: When an artist reaches us without any specific idea of how the song goes, we bring what comes to our minds, according to the artist expetations, based on his wills and references, but when he brings us a strucctured idea, we just apply our knoledge and experience to make it sound even better.

  27. Q: What's your typical work process?

  28. A: First we ask the artist to send us a vocal guide, BPM of the song, and references. Than we beggin the production from the beat, then bass lines, then melodyc parts and, finally, vocals. But according to the project, the process can be totally different.

  29. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  30. A: We work on a low budget, since studio gear can be REALLY expensive here in Brazil. We keep it simple, a pair of Alesis MI MKIII, a AKG P120, a AKG K92, a Behringer UM2, a Nektar SE49 and, mostly, Waves and Slate Digital's plugins.

  31. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  32. A: Rick Bonadio, Beto Neves, Oak Felder, Scott Storch, CLA, Eddie Kramer, Butch Vig, Tyler Smith, Junkie XL, Hans Zimmer, Andy Wallace, Ariana Grande, Kell Smith, The Weeknd, Vitor Kley, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, A Perfect Circle, Three Days Grace, I Prevail.

  33. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  34. A: We usually do everything, from production to mastering.
