Interview with Rick Salazar
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Gatos de San Martín was a special season in my life, at that time I got to know the music business, play in different stages in Mexico and live as a musician, but now in production it is even more work and very hard, but now creativity and all work have eternal impact. in the lives of the people who listen to it, that's the wonderful thing!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: i working in 2 productions one about a worship song, a folk song and the other its a old project with a friend of one of my old band
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: i need to search
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: i love analog, the digital is great but i really like the analog sound

A: be sure i will do the best of me in all production
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Create, sounds, melodies, riffs, beats, lyrics, ideas, all about creation and play
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What do you do it free? Hahaha I think we all have an individual world inside (something different and special that all other people don't have) and I'm really interested in helping people, even if they don't have musical knowledge. And about money, everyone needs it and I'm really more interested in taking their idea to the world for posterity than in money.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: sometimes I'm a perfectionist
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Why you want record, where your motivation come from?

A: i play the guitar and compose since 2000, i start to learn about production since 2016 but always love the music production and stages
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: personally I love the overdrive rock guitars whit a bulb amp, strings solos, 808beats, analog delays, and psychodellic sounds but alway search what the artist wants and the propuse of teh song and try it to drive creativity to new horizons
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Bethel Music are awsome i like how they can drive you to the material world with a song to the spiritual moments.

A: All about a simple Message (in the Chorus Please) Bonus: felling over notes.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock and PowerPop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creativity i think and variety, i dont married with a music genres if the idea and the song needs a trumpet or a beat or a didgeridoo or a sampler of your city lets try it ( i gonna tell you)
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: a look for different view as musician (we have bigger standars of what the good music is) but i try to understand what the artist want in every production.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: work a lot whit the artist in the idea and preproduction stuff i think its the base of all, then i focus in the mixing and we check all the little things of the song togheter
