I’m Juan Cerro, a professional Songwriter/Producer, ready to help you have an amazing song! I have 5+ years of experience in the music industry. combined, my songs that I've worked on have reached millions of streams and views. You can message me for more samples. Let’s get in touch!
As a producer, and Songwriter my main goal is always to make the song and the artist shine. I write, produce, record, edit, and mix to serve the song as a whole and to display the artist in the best light possible.
I specialize in taking a simple guitar or piano and vocal demo and creating a fully produced arrangement. I've had the opportunity to engineer for and learn from many big names, and I bring that knowledge and experience to every new production and project. Regardless if I am working with an established, or an up-and-coming artist, I will always give 200% in making sure the artist is happy and the production and the song is at its best it can be.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I think many beginner producers tend to want to buy the latest fancy equipment when in reality the true game-changer is really understanding the few plugins you already have really well. Many producers get caught up with wanting to get the latest and newest in hopes to improve their production. It's the ear, not the gear that is important!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I feel most comfortable with Latin, Pop, and Hip Hop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skills are sound design, writing hooks and toplines, and really understanding the artist and implementing his vision.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I believe it is always long a process of trust – with time, we discover whole new sounds that we wouldn’t have arrived at without that process. "My approach to production is also to be part of choosing and forming sound of the songs, and to make them feel like the recordings took on a life beyond the songwriting when we got into the studio." The authenticity that I bring to the music is how I want to set myself apart.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: On working with artists, it is always long a process of trust – with time, we discover whole new sounds that we wouldn’t have arrived at without that process. My productions are also an essential part of choosing and forming the songs, as they feel like the recordings took on a life beyond the songwriting when we got into the studio. The authenticity that I try to bring to every song is what I try to bring out in every production.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Currently, I am using the Lates Mac Book Pro, alongside Apollo Thunderbolt, with Shure SM7B and Blue Bluebird Mic Microphone. The DAWs I feel most comfortable are Ableton, Pro Tools, and Logic.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My Biggest inspiration is Pharrell Williams and Max Martin. Both have managed to stay relevant for many years and adapted to current trends and relevant topics in the music industry all along with maintaining the highest possible quality in their music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly, I Produce Songs and Edit and Tune Vocals.
