Professional vocalist/songwriter with years of experience! Lyrics and melodies are my best shot, but I am quite skilled in writing bangers. Diversity is my best quality, I will deliver great results on all genres! Let's do it!
I'm a vocalist, songwriter and producer specialize in Soul-Rock but can work in almost any genre.
My music background is very diverse and I have 10 years of experience in songwriting.
I am an advanced bass, guitar and drums player which comes in handy when arranging or writing songs.
I love working with people, and developing their ideas with them! I can do full songwriting (Lyrics/Topline), or I can sing and record any already written lyrics or melodies!
Communication is key to me. Let's have a little chat to understand your goals/ideas and see how to make them happen!
Don't worry, I will keep you posted on all developments/drafts throughout the process.
I value my work and my client's time and I take every project seriously.

Perfect work by Kiyo, exactly what we expected.
Kiyo Black is such a talent. A true chameleon, he can make magic out of any project he turns his hand to, be it pop, rnb or rock. The fact he's a great human being doesn't hurt either.
Kiyo Black is such an awesome musician, singer, and songwriter. His voice is truly unique and his open-mindedness in addition to his artistic sensitivity makes him the best choice to find the greatest solutions for song productions.
I'm glad to have worked with him on many occasions!
Interview with Kiyo Black
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I have loads! I would love to work with the neo-soul female artists like Joy Crooks, Raveena, Jorja Smith just because I'm a huge fan and I think their style and voices would fit perfectly with my music.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly alternative pop, rock, indie, and soul.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing catchy melodies for specific sections of a songs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Innovation. A different perspective.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First step is investigation. I always ask my customers their main influences and to connect me with the work they have online and I dig into it for a while. Second step is adaptation. After knowing their background I think "What would I write now if I was the artist?" "What would a listener expect to hear from me? What would be unexpected?" Third step is writing. With all the previous notions I am now ready to write something. I always try to leave a small trace of my style but always being very respectful of my customer's artistic identity.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I find most of my influences coming from the 80s American pop icons like Michael Jackson, Prince, Luther Vandross and the alternative scene/new wave with bands like The Cure, The Smiths. In terms of contemporary acts I get a lot of inspiration from Blood Orange, The 1975, Jorja Smith, Raveena, Tame Impala, Yellow Days, Brittany Howard and many more!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The job I get asked to do the most is writing vocal melodies or lyrics if not a song from scratch! That is also the thing I can do best. I have been doing it for the last 5 years and writing something innovative and catchy comes quite naturally to me now.
