I've been recorded with some of the greatest Brazilian artists such as: Luan Santana, Michel Teló, Jorge and Mateus, Marília Mendonça, Henrique and Juliano, Bruno and Marrone, Fabio Jr, Lulu Santos, Chitãozinho and Xororó, Di Ferrero and others. Totaling about 50 DVDs and 250 albums, 7 Latin Grammy nominations, winning in 2019.

I've been dedicated my career to studio / live recording and shows for about 15 years.
I got background to read your score, follow your programming drums or even collaborate with ideas for your track.
I have a wide variety of drums, percussion and electronic accessories, to offer the best context for your music.
After recording I send an mp3 track for you to approve and if you are satisfied i send you the tracks separates and edited.
The compromisse, the sonority and the correct approach to each song are the main features of my work.

Interview with Diego Jean Vicente

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I keep recordings in my home studio and live DVDs recordings. Also on tour with Luan Santana and my own band called Eu, Trovador.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: I like to make my clients' ideas become reality. That's the satisfaction of my work.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: Born in Blumenau on 06/03/1986, my enchantment started at the beginning of the school. But the first contact with drums of the professional way, as much as first band came at age 14. My First contact with recording came at age 19. Today, I'am 34 years old and have been one of the most requested Sideman drummers in Brazil.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: I consider myself a versatile musician and I look to improve that everyday.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: John Mayer's records have always been an inspiration to me.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Make the everything with time and planning. "Haste makes waste"

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: Pop, Folk and Sertanejo (Brazilian Country).

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: I think being musical and understanding what music needs and what it asks for.

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: First of all, I try to bring the music to me. I try to put my heart into everything, I really like to "wear the clothes" of each sound and to get into the language of style.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: I usually talk about the song with the producer to find out what he thinks and how I should do it. If I'm going to read the score or if I'm going to have a drum guide or loop to follow or if I can feel free to be creative.

  21. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  22. A: I have 8 batteries, 16 snares, a wide variety of cymbals, electronic modules, triggers and percussion. I have microphones lot to get the desired pickup for each type of song.

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: Arron Sterling, Nir Z, Shannon Forrest, Steve Jordan, Jeff Porcaro, Simon Phillips, Mark Guiliana, Benny Greb, Abe Laboriel Jr., Dylan Wising, Paul Mabury, Ash Soan, Keith Carlock etc.

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: Drums recording. When requested I can also complement the music with electronic elements and percussion.
