AJ Pacella on SoundBetter

Hello fellow music lovers. Take a look at what I offer, listen to some of my work and hit me up if you need anything done!

My name is AJ and I'm a 31 year old producer and engineer from Boston. I used to play in a melodic metalcore band as the drummer and was also the co-writer and producer for that project. I have been playing guitar for 20 years, drums for 17 years, piano for about 10 years and have been producing/engineering for about 6 years.

I'm hoping to help you with anything you need, from mixing and mastering full songs of any style to producing and bringing your songs to the next level. I can program drums and bass to ensure your low end is tight and gives your track a reliable foundation, or turn your vocal tracks into crisp and clean mixes (dry and wet) using high quality software plugins. Don't hesitate to reach out, I'd love to talk about what you're looking for.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

AJ did a great job mixing and mastering my song and had great turn around time. Actullay, he did a little producing too (which I loved). He added an effect on my vocals in the bridge that sounds great. He really knows how to level keys just they way I want. Great job AJ. Thanks. I'll use you again 100%

  14. A: Let’s just say no one hears what it sounded like before I got my hands on it

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Have a reference track ready, tempo of the song and all of your recordings as clean and lined up to the tempo as you can. I’ll do small edits for free but if it needs more I’ll discuss editing services.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: I usually work on rock and pop/edm.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Definitely my ability to hear problems and fix them. Anything from arrangement to tone and unwanted frequencies.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: 20 years of experienced ears that just don’t stop until it’s perfect.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: Sleep, eat, mix, game/listen, eat again, game/listen again, mix forever.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: It is basically a gaming rig with multiple speaker setups.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: The list is massive but Joey Sturgis, Dave Pensado, Au5 and SeamlessR are a few honorable mentions.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
