Interview with Suhasini

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I recently got a project to translate an EP of 6 songs from Italian, modify the lyrics, and make them into full fledged completed songs within 2 months. I am really proud of this.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to know and work with amazing and talented people from all over the world.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Tell me what you want from the song. I know it's hard to explain what kind of vibe you want for your songs but we will figure it out together, send me references that inspired you!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been recording for over 3 years, and performing all over India in festivals and Intimate gig settings.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Raw vocal texture, a bit of huskiness, and a typical Pop voice
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would LOVE to work with Lauv and Kygo.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I personally write and record my own music that includes melodic EDM and Pop. I have had different clients over the years and have sung everything from Movie Soundtracks to Worship Songs.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Songwriting and Singing while capturing the essence of the track
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my own distinct voice texture, a catchy melody that captures the ears, and lyrics that will be remembered and sung by those who listen to the song
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If it's just vocal recording, I ask for the melody and lyrics, get on a call with you and understand the way that you want it to be sung. In case of writing and recording a song from scratch, I ask for references of the vibe, work out the lyrics and melody and if you are good with them, i record the vocals.

A: I have a Rode NT1, ATH M50X headphones, and Scarlet (Focusrite)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by Demi Lovato, Adele, Kodaline, Kygo, and Hozier
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write the lyrics, compose the melody, and record vocals. Usually my clients include Electronic producers( EDM, pop, House) looking for Topliners, Poeple who want a song made for special occasions, Jingles and people who want their poems to be turned into songs
