Budget prices, Badass mixes
I will take your mix to a new level and breathe LIFE into your music!
Hi, I’m Quinn! I’ve been recording and mixing for the past 12 years from the comfort/discomfort of my bedroom. My style is reminiscent of late 60’s to 70’s and 80’s techniques that are tried and true.
Take a listen to some more recent projects I’ve worked on to see if I can help you with your mix!

Fifth Sun was a joy to work with on mastering their recording for gapless play on streaming services. They were clear and concise about the issues they were having and got me the materials promptly which enabled me to do the job. I look forward to working with them more in the future.
Interview with Fifth Sun Records
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I just completed an album with a friend of mine that was quite a feat! Most of the album was live tracked and had a minimal level of overdubs to give it a certain oldschool kind of feel. Most of the songs blended into eachother seamlessly and that was new territory for me. I had the opportunity to play a huge part in it. Recording, Mixing, Mastering, and Performing on it as well. The album is called Cryptarchs I and it is streaming everywhere!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm in the middle of some mixing work with a friend in New Mexico as well as producing 2 more bannds in San Antonio. FUN!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Pat Kearns is GREAT. He runs a studio in the Mojave Desert that is totally off-grid and is a pleasure to work with. Fast and efficient.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I like both since they each have unique advantages and disadvantages. Analog can have a more tactile and warm feel (that i like) but it can break sometimes, which stinks. Digital is cool because it, can bring you into uncharted waters sonically and can also be automated PERFCETLY, however it can create an idea of separation between you and the music if used a certain way.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There's no wrong way to create music. When you hear something you like, that's the right way to do it.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: A blend of in-the-box and analog gear. Maxxed out Mac mini, UA interface, and speakers from Goodwill lol
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing, Mastering, and some session work
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Acoustic guitar, MacBook, 2 input interface, and 2 Shure SM57s
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I tend to be committed to getting something right once I have the vision in mind. I will usually only work on something for a couple hours at a time to prevent "overmixing" and I listen a lot to find all of the weak points so that I know exactly what to pinpoint for my next mixing round.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have really fallen in love with the styles of King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, however my roots lie in Classic Rock, Blues, and Psychedelia
