Great mastering, the studio they have is better than expected
Amazing job. He knows a lot about the industry. Recommended!
Great mastering for a very cheap price, I usually get charged above $50 for a decent job, Tonic's engineer did it for $30 and it was a sick job. I didn't know my bass was so low until he fixed it. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for showing me those Big Room tracks, I'll let you know which one does better. Thanks a lot brother!
Awesome work man, thanks for the feedback and promo!
Interview with Julian Tonic
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I arranged a few collabs, one of them with a former Britain's Got Talen contender and 2 of my producers. The song is an absolute banger, soon to be released in a major label.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Gigs for post-covid times.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: If you're not happy with the result, or want to cancel the process, we can. I'm very open and I don't want my clients to feel like this is a one way ticket. You don't need to sign anything, our work must benefit all parties involved, specially you.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Helping people succeed.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much is it? Which depends on the question I stated above.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I just connect person A with person B. I actually do all the paperwork, premium submissions, and after-release promotion. I send all contracts to my lawyer for review and I make sure there's nothing hiding in the fine print.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What's your goal? What's your budget? Where do you want to be in 1 year from now?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just contact me, I'm a human being. I work hard and quality is my main priority.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing this since 2018, so you can say I'm relatively new to the industry. My artists had a significant improvement since they started working with me.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Any that is interested in signing with Revealed Recordings, Spinnin' Records, Armada, and other labels in that tier.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't be afraid of sending your material for review to other artists. The community is huge and everybody helps each other.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: EDM, Big Room, Hardcore, Techno
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Empathy and business
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The entire production from scratch, a collab, or just a remix/edition by a successful producer of your choice (among the ones I manage)
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First chat about goals and budget, then decide what the most efficient path is.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We have a full studio were our main sound mixer works. A few of my artists share this studio.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I arrange collabs and/or ghost production with my artists and others. Producers and vocalists please contact me if you're interested.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not as a provider. But you can ping me for recommendations.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. Year 2021. Vintage is nice but it moves slower.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A laptop, an internet hot-spot, a self-charging solar power generator, a soda and sunscreen!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Very professional and determined.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Tiesto, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Avicii, Daft Punk
