YOHAN is a bold Brazilian musician making waves with his genre-blending sound and striking visuals. A great-grandson of Japanese immigrants, he lived in Japan for over 15 years, working in modeling and fashion production before launching his music career alongside N’Dea Davenport (of The Brand New Heavies, and backing vocalist for Madonna and Elton John). N’Dea became his vocal coach and bandmate during his time in Tokyo.
With albums like #PopLife, #PopLife Remixes, and Arrasany, YOHAN built a reputation for catchy, high-energy hits and electrifying live shows—including a performance for over 100,000 people at São Paulo’s LGBTQIA+ Pride Parade. His latest album, Arrasany 3.0, features Brazilian icons like Gretchen, and brought him national TV exposure on shows like Programa da Eliana (SBT), along with viral success across TikTok and other platforms.
Now based between Los Angeles and São Paulo, YOHAN is embracing a new, more mature chapter—mixing dance-pop-funk-disco with raw, personal lyrics, a reinvented look, and global ambition.
In 2024, he began releasing a trilogy of EPs that chronicle the stages of a toxic relationship. The first, Flores, introduced the project with a burst of vulnerability and emotion. The story continues with the recently released Mente Mente, turning heartbreak into powerful pop storytelling and dancefloor catharsis.

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I’m Rock n Roll at heart and Pop, Extravagant and Theatrical externally. In my dark times I keep secretly a dirty Underground Music and Deep House vibes!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Max Martin, cuz he is a legend in pop music production. Lady Gaga, cuz she’s a true multi artist and advocate. David Bowie cuz he was a genius and a forward thinker.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: REFERENCE is EVERYTHING!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on pop, electronic and 80s vibe music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: First of all, Client’s identity and essence. Then I put my experience, knowledge and love to it!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. Once we have all refs, inspirations and direction set we get to work. 2. To optimize time and avoid extra costs, I usually send voice memos on the go as we create lyrics, toplines and vocals. (For production obviously we can’t be on the on). 3. Once there’s no more revisions (usually we get it done in 2, 3) and demo is ready I get into studio and get it done (again, for production, sometimes there are more revisions). 4. Pack all the tracks, mixes and send to client (for production we include all stems as well).

A: Microfone, Full Mixing Table, Soundproof Room with window to Mixing Room, Headphones, Instruments etc
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing catchy pop choruses lines and lyrics.
