“YOHAN’s debut album ‘#PopLife’ was written in Tokyo and finally recorded and produced in NYC by Brian Forbes who has worked before with Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande).
In Brazil, after singing for over 100K people at the largest LGBT parade in the world in São Paulo, in November of 2018, YOHAN finally released his debut album through ‘Energia 97FM’ radio. ‘#PopLife' is a vibrant, colorful and very visual album inspired by the music, the fashion and the pop culture of the 80s. It tells the story of the ascending pop star fighting towards his dreams. YOHAN’s second studio album, ‘Arrasany’ (‘Slay’) was released in 2020 with 6 new songs in Portuguese. The artist mixed different Brazilian genres, rhythms and sounds from his discoveries in throughout Brazil. Since September 2022, the singer has released 5 new singles that will be included in his third studio album ‘Arrasany 3.0’.
YOHAN currently spends time between LA and São Paulo”.

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I’m Rock n Roll at heart and Pop, Extravagant and Theatrical externally. In my dark times I keep secretly a dirty Underground Music and Deep House vibes!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Max Martin, cuz he is a legend in pop music production. Lady Gaga, cuz she’s a true multi artist and advocate. David Bowie cuz he was a genius and a forward thinker.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: REFERENCE is EVERYTHING!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on pop, electronic and 80s vibe music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: First of all, Client’s identity and essence. Then I put my experience, knowledge and love to it!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. Once we have all refs, inspirations and direction set we get to work. 2. To optimize time and avoid extra costs, I usually send voice memos on the go as we create lyrics, toplines and vocals. (For production obviously we can’t be on the on). 3. Once there’s no more revisions (usually we get it done in 2, 3) and demo is ready I get into studio and get it done (again, for production, sometimes there are more revisions). 4. Pack all the tracks, mixes and send to client (for production we include all stems as well).
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Microfone, Full Mixing Table, Soundproof Room with window to Mixing Room, Headphones, Instruments etc
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Writing catchy pop choruses lines and lyrics.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams, Max Martin, Dua Lipa
