Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Experiment adding a little bit of big or small reverbs on almost everything to glue things together, try adding sidechain to it. Sometimes it could help you, giving your song 3D.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Trap, pop, pop-rock, dance music usually
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: To do things fast and to know where to stop.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Sometimes the song is almost there, so the less you will bring - the better would be a result. Sometimes you need to make a lot, glue everything together, add punch, clarity, dimension, make song wide and big. I like to give each song its personal character.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I have template, which i use for 5 years, so i can do my mixing quite fast. It depends on the project. I’m a/b-ing a lot with the demo or the ref. I have all the tools, that i get used to, so i can use the to bring your song to the next level.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I’ve been working in our teams (kossound.com) room for 6 years. Its good sounding room actually. We got Barefoots MM 27 gen 2 as mains. Also we use Auratones, NS10’s. We are working in Pro Tools, with all todays favourites plugins. We use some outboard gear - Chandler Curve Bender, Black Box. We have Studer A80 tape.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A lot of great artists, producers, engineers inspire me. One of the most is Mike Dean, i think.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Usually its mixing and mastering services. I also record a lot. All types of editing and restoration. Making beats. Songwriting.
