Rylie is a professional cellist, trained to the highest level of conservatory training with broad experience in many musical genres. She holds a doctorate in cello performance, performing around the world at some of the best concert halls including Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Suntory Hall.
Equipped with a home recording studio and perfect pitch, I can improvise string parts on the spot! With over two decades of classical training, I can provide you everything that you are looking for in sound quality. I am flexible, creative, professional, and fun to work with - I have had a few silly cello videos go viral if you'd like to check those out!

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Always working on improving my craft, music is a lifelong pursuit.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that I can play music for a living, what a great way to spend life.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Classically trained, grew up with a dad who plays funk/blues, I'm able to groove but I've got the chops to back it up.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Singer/Songwriter folk tracks, but happy to create on anything!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I love to create improvised cello lines - I can come up with stuff quick and on the spot.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Jacob Collier, awesome string arrangers.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been playing cello since the age of 5. I have three performance degrees in cello, and have been working professionally through grad school and ever since.

A: Listen to your song a few times, write/play some ideas out depending on the feel and vibe you're after - record!

A: Home Studio, quiet location in Texas.
