I am a highly experienced British singer and songwriter (living in Paris) with an emphasis on Pop, Rock and Electronic. My goal is to bring a unique touch to your music and provide you with the perfect recording.
I've been blessed to work with amazing artists and producers since a very young age. The variety in styles and contexts have given me a solid experience and the opportunity to fully master my craft as a singer. My degree in sound engineering has also given me the ability to produce my own songs (click on song sample) and work for the French film industry.
I grew up listening, making and singing to a lot of Trip-Hop music and gradually expanded to Rock, Pop and a more dancy type of Electronic (house). One of my strongest skills is my vocal range as I can switch from lows to highs very comfortably. Producers also come to me for the variety of emotions I manage to put into my singing. I can go from something delicate and breathy to a much stronger and assertive style.
If you choose to work with me and once finished, I will send you the dry vocals in separate WAV files for each track. I consider myself to be quite flexible. Therefore, I personally commit to offering you a refund if the work isn’t to your satisfaction. As mentioned below, I will also offer a 10% discount for work on multiple songs.
I put my heart and dedication into everything I do. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Look forward to working together!

I've been working with Olivia since the last 15 years. She has an amazing talent. Her voice can be as powerful as it can be super soft. She's very creative and each time her goal is to serve the song. Awesome singer !
Olivia is one of rare singers I have come accross. Her work endows a mysteriousness and profound quality that very few have. She is a singular artists, who's clear and enigmatic voice will hit you in the most intimate parts of your soul.
I worked for several years with Olivia, one of the most beautiful voices I know, a lovely person and a brilliant lyricist. Her voice is magical, with a strong identity, and can suit to many styles of song.
I have worked many times on several projects with OliviaZ and she was always very reliable and a highly professional performer. She has inspiring creative ideas but also tries to understand your own ideas to deliver whats best for the song. I can highly suggest working with her.
Interview with OliviaZ
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will completely honor and respect your song. It seems obvious said like that, but it's not that given to really pay attention to what the artist wants. Singing as a job requires excellent listening skills and delicacy. It's important to add a personal touch and yet, it's all about what the artist wants.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They usually send me a reference song and ask me if I can bring a similar touch. I try to be as honest as possible, even though I remain highly flexible in terms of style.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I would advise to be highly selective on the type of voice you would need and to listen carefully to the singer's work. Check it all out. A singer can have excellent technique and yet, not add enough feeling to a song which is, in my opinion, the most important part.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I get to find out what the artist expects from a singer. I try to get familiar with the world of the creator as much as I can as I really want to nail it. I then propose a demo with my voice on it and lyrics if necessary.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing the drums and the piano and switched to singing when I was 15. I spent some time to focus also on my sound engineering studies before going back to singing fully. The fact that I started this way is very useful to me today.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I recently worked on an ambiant style electronic music. The music was smooth enough to give me a lot of space to fully express my singing technique. I was also very happy with the lyrics and therefore, emotion was definitely in there. I'm very picky when it comes to balance between technique and emotion as this is what it takes to consider yourself a good singer. I did the lead vocal, harmonies and songwriting.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Doing the vocals for an electronic synthpop song.. Lucky me :)!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Oh sure, Matt Foster, producer and engineer/mixer. He made the most beautiful mix to one of my songs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both.. Digital is so damn practical, analog is so damn warm.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The variety of it. That's how you get better at what you do.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: "This girl can't sing loud enough".. Oh believe me, I can! :)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What would you like this song to be about and how would you like it to match with my voice ?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer / Midi Keyboard / Mic / Headphones ... Oh, and the charger to my computer!! :)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Warm.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with artists who make electronic music with a certain synthpop style. It has this dancy aspect to it and yet, you get to feel the melancholy. Absolutely love it. Although the most important aspect to me is to work in friendly conditions. Who doesn't want that, right ? :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Most definitely. I have a a degree in sound engineering and am used to produce my own songs. But my main advice is a simple one : have fun and be adventurous, whatever that means to you.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic music (House/Dance or more downtempo styles), Pop and sometimes, Rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I have a wide vocal range in terms of lows/highs. I also comfortably transit from head voice to chest voice and vice versa.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can proudly affirm my ability to bring a highly emotional touch to a song, from sorrowful to something more joyful or easygoing. I have the capacity to literally dive into the artists' world. As I mentioned into my description, I put my heart into everything I do.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work on Logic Pro, record in a Focusrite sound card with a set of two mics : AKG PERCEPTION 120 and ELECTRO-VOICE 635 A (my personal favorite).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I grew up with bands such as Massive Attack, Tricky, Faith No More, Slowdive, Goldfrapp... My tastes grew in variety as I worked and discovered very different projects. I love the more dancy stuff and like to sing to it in particular. I'm a huge fan of The Shoes, Tinlicker.. Electronic music in general and Pop also. Everything that grooves!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually both sing and write the song, though of course I sing to songs that have already been written on occasion.
