Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That you can take any mix and make it amazing. It starts from how it's actually recorded. What you put in is going to be the result. Example, if you're clipping in the vocals or you're not in tune or off key, sure we can add autotune but your vocals are still going to sounds really harsh. So always try your best to get the perfect take.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: Marcus Aryo. He's great at producing beats and has a good ear.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: If you have the money.. Analog. If you don't have the money, Digital.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Look for someone that can create a sound you're really looking for. Kind of like an artist, each person has something they specialize in.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: 5 years mixing & 10 years as a musician

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: More Natural Sounding that over compressed.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Faders are your friend. If you find the right compression and EQ but it sounds a tad quiet. Push that Fader up and you'd be surprised that it comes through with a beautiful tone. Sometimes you may need to manually edit some volume parts if it gets quiet in one spot.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Pop, Acoustic and now Metal.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: 10 years of experience. Knowing where things should fit into a mix.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: Organizing MONO EQ Faders Compression ( if needed ) Instrument Mixing Vocal Mixing Make sure everything sounds nice and level and has it's own space. Then Fill up the empty space Finally Summing then onto Mastering. That's kind of it in a Nutshell.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: It's a home studio. Most of the magic happen on my DAW with plug ins.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I mainly offer mixing and mastering for my clients. I think the hardest part is trying to find a crisp and polished sound. For years, I've dealt with muddy sounding mixes and now that I've been able to clean this up from doing hours of studying. I'm here to offer that crisp quality to my customers.
