Lyric Writing - I can write to a theme that you suggest or put forward my own ideas. I love telling stories through songs and crafting lyrics that are cool, yet meaningful.
Melody Writing - Composing catchy melodies is one of my strengths. Years of studio work has helped me to understand how to create melody lines that suit the artist.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Do you produce music or make beats? I can but I am currently focusing on songwriting. Can you finish a song that I've started? Absolutely. Many great songs are written as collaborations and I'm sure that if we work together we can come up with some fresh ideas. What if I don't have any ideas of my own? Not a problem. We can work together to find your sound and work on lyrics that you feel represent you.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What type of singer are you? Who are your main influences? Do you have a link where I can hear your work? What kind of song would you like me to write? Do you have any references I could listen to? (Songs that you like) Do you already have a beat or chord progression in mind? What would you like the lyrics to be about?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: For over 10 years I was a touring and studio musician, working as a keyboard player and drummer. Although I do still play live occasionally I have turned my focus to songwriting and am enjoying being more involved in the creative process.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is writing hooks. This is the part of the song that I love because it's the bit that everyone remembers and it gets to the heart of what the song is about.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My first job is to understand your vision. We will typically discuss reference tracks and lyrical themes together and then I get to work. I keep you updated as I'm writing so that you are happy with the direction that the song is going.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I grew up listening to RnB music from the 90s and 00s but I keep up with the modern sound of artists like H.E.R, Ella Mai, Bryson Tillier, etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work as a freelance songwriter. I've worked across many genres but find myself mostly called upon to write RnB and soul music.
