To meet my clients vision and wishes are a priority and I try to address all of them as much as possible. My aim is to identify the most appealing and driving parts of a composition, enhance them and make the entire song shine. Although I’m specialized in electronic dance music all other genres are very welcome.
Markus Jacob, a German-born electronic musician and producer behind aussenwelt, is new to Melbourne’s music community. Although being an entirely computer based composer and musician, his music is heavily influenced by live performers from almost all genres and decades.
His first album release called ‘procrastinator’ from 2020/21 is the perfect example of the various musical influences interwoven with each other. Pop, Blues, Funk and Soul elements mix with beats and grooves known from Techno, Acid, Industrial and other electronic dance music genres. The ‘aussenwelt’ (German for outer or outside world) gets observed and absorbed, combined newly and thrown back at the listener’s ears. Unusual rhythms, sound combinations and designs are at the heart of this collection of tracks, wanting to take the listener on a journey that unfolds slowly.
All songs were composed, mixed, and mastered by Markus Jacob. The lyrics on ‘From Above feat. Sara Pontonio’ were written by Markus Jacob and Sara Pontonio. The backing vocals on ‘Raumbar’ were sung by Lucy Greenham.
In 2019 the so called ‘Kaffeeklatsch’ mixtape series was released on SoundCloud and Mixcloud.
