I record and arrange pristine quality Acoustic and Electric Guitars. I can also compose Guitar Sections for your song.
I'm an Acoustic Guitarist and Producer from India with 15 years of experience, performing and recording sessions for various indie artistes and films around the country.
All Acoustic Guitars are recorded using a Rode NT2a microphone and a DI through Focusrite Solid State Pre into UAD Apollo interface. All files will be delivered in high quality 24bit .wav format.
I use 3 Acoustic Guitars:
1. Astha Guitars - Custom built to my specifications with solid Swiss Spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides. It is a small sized guitar with a strong mid projected sound with crisp highs and tight lows. Sounds great for fingerpicked rhythms and solos.
2. Sire R7 - Grand Auditorium sized body with solid Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides. Sounds big and bassy, great for strummed rhythms and some solos.
3. Cort Earth Grand - Dreadnaught sized body with solid Sitka Spruce top, Australian Blackwood back and sides. Great for strummed chords.

Interview with Joel Sakkari
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A project called "Memoir", which is my debut song, I executed the entire project alone and also shot a Music Video with my phone, turned out good. I'm proud of the project because it is something I can call my own.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A couple of Guitar recording projects.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. I think that line has been erased now.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Quality
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That I get to play the guitar all the time.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: 1. How do you get that Acoustic Guitar tone? A: I record in two signals, Microphone and plugged in, this gives me good headroom to blend and tweak the tone. 2. Is double-tracking necessary? A. Not always, but it is good to have it and not need it, than otherwise.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I make computer music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: 1. References to understand the sound they're looking for 2. Song demos and notes.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Prepare a phone recorded demo that is clear enough to understand and recorded on a click (preferably) and provide a chord chart.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: John Mayer. Because he is John Mayer.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: NEVER add reverb on bass.

A: Tommy Emmanuel, John Mayer, Andy Mckee etc
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My guitar.

A: I've been professionally into music for about 10 years now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Mellow and Soulful
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on a wide variety of genres, but I prefer Acoustic Folk, R n B, Pop and Soft Rock.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my sound and soul.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The client needs to send me a demo (preferably recorded on a click) and a few references to understand their requirement, after some exchange of ideas, I decide whether i can do the job or not. Once I agree, i take some time and familiarise with the references and the demo, practise for a while and then hit record.
