Interview with Queue the Producer

  1. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  2. A: Please understand that I am a producer/engineer, not a miracle worker. Some artists have it in their heads that we are supposed to be able to take anything that sounds horrible and make it sound radio-ready but this is incorrect. Just because the saying that "artists have no talent these days" is constantly being thrown around does not mean it is an inherent truth. Sure, there are artists who have more talent than others, but the perspective of talent is very opinionated so just because you may deem an artist talentless does not make it fact nor does it detract from the enormous amount of work it requires to be a successful artist who is still producing quality work for producers and engineers to work with. That being said, you must also provide quality products for myself to work with.

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: I'm not really a beat maker, I am a producer first! That means that I control the entire creative direction of the track to bring an Artists vision to life and will adjust myself accordingly to what is required, if that means mainly making beats, engineering, mixing, or mastering, then so be it! Whatever is required of me to create something amazing.

  5. Q: What's your typical work process?

  6. A: I just do whatever feels good. Depending on if I'm making a beat, I could start with drums or melodies first before moving to the next thing. I essentially listen to what is provided and add what is required first to better create and establish the atmosphere, vibe, or mood of the track. From there, I honestly just let the music take me away!

  7. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  8. A: I draw inspiration from a handful of artists and producers but if I were to narrow it down to just one each, it would likely be Chris Brown in terms of musical artists and Nick Mira for music production. I love the way each of them create and follow their own trends before evolving into something completely different as time goes on. Their sound is constantly changing and they are not afraid to dive into different genres.

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: I do a wide variety of work from helping artists with their flow and cadence, production, mixing, and mastering. whatever you need I can get it done and work with budgets of every level. It is most fulfilling for me to be apart a project from start to finish and there throughout the entire process.
