Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don’t overcook it. Create it, polish it up a bit and then release it to the world.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Funk and pop music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Exactly what the song needs. Sometimes it’s funky and flashy, sometimes it’s straight 1/8’s on the root.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It’s never the same. Part of staying creative to me is not getting locked into a formula. You can’t force the magic to happen.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Mac Mini running Logic with an Apollo Twin interface. I use various Waves and UAD plug-ins.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by all professional musicians I play with. Their creativity feeds mine and vice versa.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Aside from my main project, I take on a lot of sub gigs. One of my best skills is learning a full set in a short time.
