Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A band I recorded in Ga. 3 piece. a decent band. I liked the style of music. My role was to track,edit,mix.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am looking for Musicians that are professional and know some what of a direction that they want to go in.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I prefer Analog but I use digital as well.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My interfaces, my Mac mini, mics,cables.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Have been a Drummer for 30 years many years recording in studio's. 14 years ago to start my own business as a Recording Engineer. Went to audio engineering school and am ready to help fellow musicians accomplish their dreams.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, Country.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: To make sure instruments are in tune. listen back to make sure it sounds good to the client.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Midas Legend 3000 analog console. Mac mini. Studio one Pro 4 software. API 500 series lunch box.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Rick Rubin, Bob Rock.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Tracking them. making sure they like what they hear before we record everything. Taking the time to get the sound they are looking for if they know what that sound is.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not that I know of.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To give them the best product I can.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Recording musicians that love making music.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What do I charge and how long will it take. I give them rate and tell them it all depends on how well they know the songs.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: it's quick and easy.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do they know all the material and do they have there equipment up to par for the recording session.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Know what they are able to afford and know there music before they book time in a studio. it can be expensive if you don't.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: To make sure the musicians know there parts and find out what they are expecting.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: An artist that knows their sound and is ready.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Organize your tracks.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listen to the customer and do my best for them.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Hopefully what the people want to hear. Sometimes that is hard to do when people are not sure what they want to hear.
