Touring/recording guitarist turned marketer turned dad with a recording rig. When I was cool, I played twangy guitar on a lot of stages and produced/played on a few records.
Started playing guitar because of SRV, got into more Texas blues, raided my dad's record collection, and my interests just widened from there. So lots of blues/classic rock met lots of country when I moved to Nashville in 2006. And I just veraciously and curiously consume any other music that jumps out at me.
I toured and recorded for ~5 years in my own little string band, played freelance electric guitar with a couple smaller country artists during that time as well, and recorded on a couple other stray projects too. When I came off the road, I managed to keep myself busy in town with one band or another, primarily with a country cover act consisting of my friends from other touring acts (Brett Eldredge, Josh Turner, etc.), then another 70s cover band just to stay busy.
Now I'm posted up at home, ready to keep playing and find those projects where my playing could be a good fit!
My style has a little bit of everything, from country radio guitar, to Texas blues, to anything in between really. I love the chorus-y strat sound on Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes, but let's not ignore the fact that Killing in the Name Of can help with drywall demolition. I guess what I'm saying is I live more in the country/roots realm but I'm down to tweak it with other sensibilities as the project requires.
