My name is Armands (a.k.a Astral Oz), I am a UK based professional guitarist with over 20 years of experience, playing, recording and touring with many artists/bands internationally over last couple decades. Since graduating from Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London in 2020 having studied popular music performance, I am now looking to further expand my professional portfolio through composing, recording and producing music, both for my own projects and on a collaborative basis.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Solo material and broadening my production skill set
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Personally I enjoy both. Digital is more accessible, affordable and quicker to work with, however although it can be more time-consuming, sound quality achieved with analog is very unique!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I always deliver to the best of my abilities.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The chance to spend my days playing the instrument I enjoy most and the opportunity to create and collaborate with others in the industry.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Fender Guitar and Amp, wah wah pedal, Leads and Laptop

A: When making production choices, always ask 'why?'
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have a wide range of musical tastes, making me quite versatile. I have the most experience working on; Rock, Pop, Funk, Blues, Folk, Ambient and Alternative genres.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been writing, recording and playing music since 1998 when I got my first guitar!

A: I am creative, original and have the ability to translate an artists vision and deliver quality results.
