Hey, there my name is FRE. I am a music producer who specializes in genres such as K-Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B. I have had a few placements here and there but most notably by well-known rapper Ray B in Vietnam and a Thailand YouTuber WinnyNaNa. I do have a long list of credits with underground upcoming artists as well if you want to see that.
I offer a lush/chill vibe to my productions. I love doing more r&b/pop related stuff but I also feel comfortable making hip-hop beats around that type of sound. My works can be found over at www.youtube.com/fremadethis or www.fremadethis.com. I also have done multiple mixing/mastering for artists who reached out to me. I specialize mostly in melodic pop-sounding beats. I also can do commercial/tv/ads/branding type of tracks as per my previous works with Samsonite and Creative.

Interview with FREMADETHIS
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The song with B Ray in Vietnam because it was my first song that hit 1 million views on YouTube and I was the producer for that song.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Working on a placement with another huge major label that I can't announce yet.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not sure.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. 100% in the box because the flexibility of digital workflows just easily shits on analog in terms of efficiency and creative limits.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I do my best for every artist that comes across me and that I want all of us to win together.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to wake up everyday doing what I love and make money while sleeping in pursuit of the dream.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What are your rates? It depends at which point in my career you're asking and what type of deal you're looking for (album/singles).
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I do only K-Pop beats and that's all I specialize in.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How fast do you require me to turnover the project and what will be expected of me as your producer of choice.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please get a feel for my sound via my YouTube channel and listen to my past works to get a feel for my color in terms of production.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook Pro fully upgraded. Komplete series from Native Instruments. Reftones M40x Headphones UAD Plugins
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been a producer for about 3-4 years but I went full-time last year. (2021)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Korean-inspired productions mixed with American style simplicity.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Sik-K. He inspired me with his Korean style rap and sound and I've been a fan of everything he does from his artistry to the producers he works with and his style.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try adding Secondary Dominants in-between chords to make it sound "Jazzier".
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B and Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Production dealing with emotional material.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A specific sound that I'd describe as chill and emotional/soulful.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I send some creative ideas for the artists to feel and get a vibe for then we agree on one that sticks the most and begin developing the idea. Similarly, I listen to a lot of music to get inspiration and study why the song works.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Rode NT-2, Yamaha HS7 and FL Studio 20/Pro Tools
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Sik-K, Jay Park, AOMG, H1GHER, Chris Brown, Drake, Russ, Groovyroom, Boycold, Blackpink, YG Teddy, G-Dragon
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: K-Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B type beats. I also do mixing and mastering for artists who reach out for a package deal such as custom beat + mixing/mastering.
