Hi, my name is Sam JC Lee, based out of Boston area. I've played upright, electric bass, and synth bass on dozens of records in studios or from my home studio. Also I've recorded, edited, and mixed for many artists and commercials. I am very versatile for any genre as well! I'd love to be help for your records/projects!
Usually I request reference tracks (MP3 is fine) without bass, and with demo bass if you have one. If recorded with clicks, please provide BPM as well.
I work with both Logic Pro X and Protools. Both mixed down versions or raw files can be provided.
For upright bass, I usually use two mics (up and bottom). For electric bass, it will be direct input via preamps/DI
For synth bass, usually both MIDI and analog audio.
I am also a composer/arranger, so musicality and song flow is very important to me. Looking forward to helping you get your project to the next level.
