Make your music sound better.

Hi, I'm John. I work in Los Angeles as a contracted composer for Bleeding Fingers, Hans Zimmer's joint venture with Extreme Music, the commercial production arm of Sony/ATV. I studied Music Production and Engineering at the Berklee College of Music and I'm here to make your music sound great and some extra money for myself!

I excel at mixing and production. I've done programming on big albums (Baptized, Daughtry, Head or Heart, Christina Perri {RIAA Gold}, Take Me When You Go, Betty Who). That's also where I learned to comp and edit at the professional level. I've also done vocal production for Abraham Mateo, a Spanish pop star. That's to say, I can do additional programming or edit/tune almost anything you have at the highest level.

For my day job at Bleeding Fingers, I have to produce tracks in any number of genres: hip hop, funk, pop, rock, etc, so I have a good foundation in producing and mixing those genres. I can also play guitar, play bass, or sing backgrounds on projects.

In a nutshell, I have a deep background in making modern music. I can do what you need me to do, and I can do it well.

Note: my allmusic is screwed up because my name is so common. On the one below, I did the Christina Perri, Betty Who, and TimeFlies. For "John August" on allmusic, I did the Daughtry and Gavin DeGraw. The rest of those credits are by someone else who has my very common name!
