K. Pretty is an artist from East St. Louis, Illinois. She's been singing since the age of 8. Initially, starting off in a girl group called, 4Sho that had minor success in the East St. Louis area. The group performed in competitions, talent shows, weddings, and many events.
K. Pretty decided to set out on her solo career after the group disbanded in 2004. Relocating to Atlanta, Pretty began to garner attention through her work as a session vocalist. Her breakout hit, Stop Playin' With Me, caught the attention of many executives in the Southern market.
She is now currently working on her upcoming debut album, Kapital K.

A: I started singing at 8 around the house to other artists’ music. Joined a singing group at 18. Created many records with the singing group. Did shows and competitions. Shortly after, I went solo to start focusing on my own career. I’ve been doing this for 17 years.
