Hey! I'm a recording/mix engineer, producer and songwriter located in Orlando, FL. Credits include Worst Party Ever, Hail The Sun, Cathedral Bells, Camp Trash and labels like No Sleep, Equal Vision and Count Your Lucky Stars Records. I have worked assisting or helping other producers such as Kristofer Crummett and Sam Pura.
With just over 9 years of working as a freelance engineer, I've specialized my efforts of producing music into a singular vision; Creating unforgettable records and experiences with my friends, family, artists and clients. I truly care most about the song and vision of the artist, something not defined by style. With this multi-faceted outlook I am able to do competitive work across a multitude of genres most notably in Indie, Pop, Emo, R&B and Alternative.
I started my journey after graduating by interning at KDS Music Studios here in Orlando, FL. Formerly Transcontinental Studios, home of all the boy bands from the 90's. Working here gave me an interesting outlook of the music industry, especially living in an area where the bigger format type studios like that were starting to fail. This truly put me in a position for self motivation and really ingrained a DIY mentality that I carry with me now, no matter the size of project I am working on. I believe this to be a huge asset in music moving forward in todays day and age, and brings a unique sense of identity to the records I work on.

Endorse Kyle HofferKyle has an incredibly diverse skill set that elevated my band’s album to a whole new level. His prowess as an engineer allowed to us to focus on giving the best performances possible rather than worrying about the technical headaches that have plagued our previous recordings. His instincts as a mixer helped turn our bedroom demos into lush professional recordings without sacrificing the energy of our live sets. Most importantly of all, he fully embraced the creative process and was open to trying all of our craziest ideas without question. He’s a true professional and great collaborator.
Most professional and easygoing producer I’ve worked with. Made us sound better than we can actually play. He also helped fill in gaps in our songs that we were stuck on writing which was awesome and helpful. 100% recommend and will probably only go back to him exclusively because of how good the experience was.
Kyle is always after what is going to serve the song/project best. A wide range of experience and knowledge paired with an ear for what will take your sound to the next level makes for the perfect person to help you craft something wonderful. The utmost care and attention to detail will be put into your work at Ponderifica. If you want your music to be quality and competitive, this is where you need to go.
I have worked with Kyle for quite a few years, he has been instrumental in my growth as a musician. He is one of my favorite people to collaborate with, and it seems like he always has a solution when a song meets a hiccup. Somehow, he also always seems to be better at his craft each time I work with him, cannot recommend him enough.
GoodDay has been working side by side with Kyle Hoffer for over 6 months now, brining a total of 5 projects to the table. From production to mixing, Kyle is a beast at it all. What we love most is how much Kyle stresses that he wants his artist happy with their sound. There have been countless of times where we work through bumps together, trying to reach a point of completion on not only Kyles end, but ours as well. This is Kyles most special ability. Highly recommend using Kyle Hoffer as a 3rd set of ears to help bring your art to a level you never imagined.
I’ve been working with Kyle on mixing & producing with my music and he’s got a great ear for making songs stick out and sounding very smooth! This guys really loves recording and making albums and it’s inspiring to see the variety and range of genres he works with. He’s very knowledgeable with engineering and capturing the right tones! Really legit to work with and if you’re looking for a solid engineer + mixing for your project, I suggest going through Kyle!
I have worked with Mr. Hoffer on every major release we’ve done. He is a creative and attentive individual with immense pride in his work. He takes his time with every little detail to ensure an absolute authentic representation of your vision. He values constructive feedback and a collaborative environment that foster taking the music to a new level. But what I love most about working with Kyle, is his sheer passion for the recording arts. He treats every recording session as a learning opportunity for both artist and himself.
Kyle is great, and is versatile. He can give you that DIY sound that still sounds professional. His ear for production is stellar. I’ve worked with Kyle multiple times for mixing and mastering. He’s easy to talk to and really understands the vision. Kyle is my go to person for my mix and mastering needs.
Best engineer I’ve ever worked with. He’s helped me develop my sound, even working in languages he’s not familiar with. He’s great at recording, editing, and vocal producing me.
THIS MAN IS AN ABSOLUTE WIZARD. Incredibly talented professional and well-educated in sound engineering, design, theory, etc. Book your session with him now before he’s too hard to get to.
We (Camp Trash) recorded our debut EP with Kyle, and not only did he help us get the tightest, richest, and most professional recordings of the songs, but he also has an incredibly sharp ear for arranging. In the moment, Kyle overflows with ideas, and they’re always beneficial for the songs. He is personally invested in all the music he records, and I can’t imagine having done it with someone else. We will be back to record with Kyle again.
Interview with Kyle Hoffer
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will do everything in my power to produce good music with and for you, whatever method necessary.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Take the time to look at your options; there are many music producers and we all have our own style. What may work for some people, might not work for you! I try my best to make sure I am working with the right people.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Audio Engineering, Mixing and Production
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Cohesiveness and breath of life. I really like to dig deeper into the purpose of the song before anything, even if thats just being on the same page.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a well treated home studio with a hybrid of analog and digital technologies, capable of tracking a full live band.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Eric Valentine, Ken Andrews, Max Martin, Serban Ghenea, and so many more
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love music, and I love helping create it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to set expectations with opening up a dialogue about what the artist desires. Often I like to take some time to chat about some non music related topics first to level off and get a fresh mindset on things. Then once we dive into details like influences, references, effects and ideas, I will develop a plan. This can vary heavily on the service I am providing. Most commonly, for mixing and/or producing/engineering, we will create a timeline and book necessary dates and such. Then we will begin work, which could be together or remote. Getting started on a product can take anywhere from a day to a week depending on scheduling. Typically rough mixes will take one day. From this point on we will work toward the goal agree'd upon until all parties are happy, with the artists preferences first of course!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Recording, mixing, producing, songwriting, re-amping and mastering.
