Studio Session Drummer
I specialize in rock, country, pop, and folk genres. I provide up to 16 channel drum tracks (mixed or raw) and can add samples to those tracks as well. For sampling, I use That Sound Drums (Paul Mabury, Aaron Sterling, etc.) and Trigger (Steven Slate Audio). I can also provide drum programming for your song project using a wide variety of samples, including Battery 4 (Native Instruments).

Interview with Brandon Lefrancois
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm working with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 interface connected to a Behringer ADA8200 (16 channels total). I have a variety of industry quality microphones and plugins.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: While a genre such as country requires tasteful musical choices that fit the style, a lot of the same patterns and fills that we hear on the radio hits can easily become overdone. I try to find that balance between playing for the song and adding unique elements.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired in some capacity by most artists and producers I've had the pleasure of working with. I really look up to drummers like Paul Mabury, Aaron Sterling, and Steve Goold. These guys have really honed their craft as song minded drummers and thus have built successful studio careers.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically I chart out the scratch take first, then sit and come up with the most tasteful part that I can. After that, I try to find creative ways to vary certain patterns or fills.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Solid and consistent.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: A lot of country and pop country. But also rock and straight up pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm easy going and motivated to get things done in a timely manner.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly do studio work for rock, pop, and country acts. I prioritize what is best for the song.
