Interview with Matt Echo
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The first time I worked with Chrisette Michele we had a power outage at the studio. We had to stop recording and wait for the storm to die down so we can both get home safe. Within the time spent waiting, we got to know each other more. I started playing guitar while she was writing lyrics in her phone. Coincidently, what I had played on my guitar went perfectly with her new lyrics! I started that session as her engineer, then became a guitarist and by the next session I had the opportunity to produce the record from start to finish! I am grateful for that storm, and proud we made the best of it!
