Shannon is an incredible vocalist. She really has a diverse sound depending on what you’re looking for. She’s done anywhere from bubblegum pop to soul and back with me. You can’t really get any better wi to one singular artist
I've worked with a ton of songwriters and Shannon is undoubtably one of the best. Her vocal technique is also second to none, her pitch is perfect, her tone so versatile! She's my only go-to and that's saying something!
Shannon is a phenomenal vocalist, songwriter and musician. She's experienced, professional and always delivers wonderful work. Fantastic with harmonies, pitch and catering her vocals to whatever your needs may be. And she is always a pleasure to work with!! I highly recommend Shannon!
Interview with Shannon Meske
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Satisfaction.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I wanted to sing on broadway but then I fell in love with ASL. I went to college to become a sign language interpreter, but I always missed singing. Now, I still interpret, but I also make music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My range. Growing up with formal training allows the client to tell me how to modulate my voice, and I can provide that.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to hear exactly what my client is looking for. The more details the better. I also allow up to two edits for no charge. Depending on the song an average turn around is between 24-72 hours.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Scarlett Studio MK2. I've invested in a good sound shield and pop filter and have a private in home studio. My turn around can be quite quick because of that.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm a huge fan of the lyrical work of Taylor Swift. I was also raised listening to a lot of R&B, rock, soul, and pop from the 50s-70s. I listen to everything from broadway, to oldies, to electronic and instrumental. All music inspires me to sing and make art.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Session vocals for a variety of genres: pop, jazz, soul, house, etc.
