I've been a musician for most of my life, I've written my own music for many years, and I have a Bachelor's in Audio Production from the Art Institute.

Creatively, the main instruments I play and write for are guitar and keys, ranging from acoustic and piano to metal and synths. As an engineer, my experience is mostly in recording and post-production, including bands of different genres and audio for video.

Interview with Eric Dean

What are you working on at the moment?
A fully self-produced instrumental rock album.
Analog or digital and why?
I like a mix of both. In post-production, digital tools allow better manipulation and a more fine-tuned end result, but I prefer the sound that comes from analog gear during the recording process.
What's your 'promise' to your clients?
I approach every project with patience and a trained ear so the end result shines, even down to the smallest details.
What type of music do you usually work on?
Just about anything with guitars, particularly heavy rock/metal.
What do you bring to a song?
I like to create interest, whether it's in the composition or the mix, by doing things like adding or taking away layers and effects.
Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
My focus has been on audio post-production, like editing and mixing songs.
