Inventing a whimsical fantasy that ties in elements of psychedelic/retro pop, Krissy Lassiter brings out her own form of musical independence that paints the world with a colorful spin. Strung throughout each note and lyric is a deep understanding and appreciation of music composition and production. She’s received a B.M. in Theory/Composition from Westminster Choir College in 2017. Her deepest understanding of classical music comes from performing many master works with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic as a member of the Westminster Symphonic Choir. She participated as a composer for Sō Percussion's Summer Institute 2016, developing her percussive experimentalism. In 2019, Krissy graduated with a Master’s in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase; where she recorded 3 releases under the name Krissanthemum. Her latest EP release was acknowledged by Bandcamp Staff as “new and notable” Experimental and Psychedelic Pop highlights. From June 2019-June 2020 she served as the Audio Assistant for duotone Audio Group- a NYC Music Production/Supervision company that creates original music, supervision, audio post, sound design, artist collaborations, &mixing for top advertising, film, television, interactive, and multimedia companies. Krissy is eager and ready to continue putting her skills to use!
