I'm a storyteller. I specialize in songs for musical theatre, animation, and film, but hey, I'm flexible. I bring a lot to the table: a four-octave range, formal composition and voice training, and experience in areas across production: session singing, VO, directing, producing, marketing, editing, teaching, and more. Heya! I'm Socks (they/them), and I'm a nonbinary, neuroqueer singer, stage and voice actor, lyricist-composer, and writer.

As a coloratura soprano, I frequently perform live and record my own vocals at home. I have experience with recording engineering, audio editing, mixing, podcasts, video editing, and other fun technical stuff, so if you hire me as a singer, lyricist, or topliner, I can throw in some of those skills as needed.

While I do compose music with Logic Pro X as well as for live piano & guitar, the vocal line is where my heart lies—I prefer to collaborate on instrumental accompaniments/tracks. I'm down for all sorts of vocal genres; I've done jazz, country/folk, soft pop, musical theater, choral, and more. Musical theatre is my specialty; I've written 2 musicals and an opera libretto, as well as a number of stand-alone songs for stage & screen. I am also the co-founder/facilitator of an all-trans & gender expansive vocal collective 8TPS — a polystylistic a cappella group at the intersection of professional, identity-driven, and community-building choral ensembles.
