Hello, I'm a singer/songwriter/audio producer based in Melbourne, Australia. Some might know me as a singer in the star-laden Dutch rock opera project "Ayreon', of which I've lent my vocal and songwriting skills to the 3 most recent albums. I've written and recorded music and various other bits and pieces for Aussie TV personality Osher Günsberg, including the theme to his super popular "Better Than Yesterday" podcast.
I've also engineered and co-produced Aussie comedian Jude Perl's "I Have a Face" album, as well as her latest single "Hamish".
I also write, sing, play and engineer everything in my own project "Toehider", the most recent album (2020's "I Like It!") made it to number 2 on the Australian AIR indie charts.

I'm endorsed by PRS guitars and Headrush Pedalboards.

Mike produced my song "Routine". He played all the instruments except saxophone, mixed and mastered. For the sax he found an excellent musician Hugo Lee amongst his friends and I'm very grateful for that.

The whole process of communication and production with Mike was really smooth and I can highly recommend him to anyone who needs musical services like that.

The outcome is a really good-sounding track in two languages (Estonian and English) that I like very much and that sounds really good.

I have worked with Mike for eight years now on a number of projects, including all of the music from my podcast (three separate theme songs mind you). I think our greatest triumph together was him composing all the music for my sold out national one man show – his ability to construct a song based upon a sketch written in text messages and cobbled together word documents to sound exactly as I wanted to sound in my is absolutely extraordinary. Some people are multilingual- Mike is a musical polyglot, absolutely fluent in every kind of musical language there is.

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm something of a one-stop-shop for a full production.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Generally I use a Shure SM7B into a 1073 clone preamp, Focusrite interface. Reaper is my DAW of choice and own a plethora of plugins from Izotope, Waves, Native Instruments, IK Multimedia, Toontrack, Spitfire Audio, 8Dio etc. For guitars I'm endorsed my PRS, Headrush Pedalboards, Marshall Amplification. Drums are Mapex with Meinl cymbals.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I provide excellent vocals, throught-provoking lyrics and fantastic songwriting that is very good.
