I’ve been recording and performing professionally for 15 years. Credits include: Mountain Stage Radio Show with folk and rock artists Chuck Prophet, Janis Ian, Vic Chestnutt, Bob Thompson Hello June and more. I’ve also recorded albums for jazz label Blue Canoe records. I have extensive experience with funk, gospel, americana, country and bluegrass.
I offer electric bass, acoustic bass, keyboard bass, as well as vocals. My strengths are groove, feel, contemporary styles (I.e. RnB, funk, rock, Afro Cuban, Brazilian, Jazz, folk, bluegrass, gospel etc). I am also a strong soloist and have extensive experience as an improviser if needed.
Very proficient with various techniques such as finger style, pick, slap etc. I’m happy to provide whatever the music may need in the bass department.
In addition to my role as a bassist I also sing both lead and harmony, and have decades of experience in this arena as well.
In terms of recording, I have been doing remote sessions for several years, and have developed a high comfort level in this setting. I take constructive criticism well, and pride myself on my collaborative skills. Communication with client is KEY.
I read standard notation, chord charts and number system very well. I also pride myself on my ability to learn by ear.
I use Logic Pro X, Audient converter, various condenser and dynamic mics, preamps, and have a large collection of basses and gear. A tone for everything.
I look forward to hearing from you!
